I spent a magical few days last week in my home away from home away from home with my very best friends in San Francisco. I was in town for the 5 year anniversary of Indie Mart, which is thrown every summer by my friend Kelly Malone of Workshop. It was an amazing day at Thee Parkside with yummy foods and groovy tunes that kept our feet moving! We made loads of new friends and had some seriously happy customers. I am looking forward to making the drive up to SF for the next one!

my mom was the ultimate GLAMper!

Once upon a time there was a young tomboy from Argentina who loved to build things from scratch. When she was a child she built a sailboat and as a young lady she built a house in Colorado.

While contruction was underway my mother and aunte lived in a glorious army tent complete with persian rugs, family oil painting and crystal wine glasses. Not only were mom and June the original Modern Gypsies but I’m certain that they coined the term GLAMping!

Loads of new merchandise is about to hit the site! Here’s a little sneak-a-peak at what we’ve been up to… We shot at Paramount Ranch’s western town which is near and dear to me. Not only have I shot at the Ranch before, but my Dad and Uncle built many of the buildings on the property when they worked on Dr. Quinn back in the day.

Check it out y’all! We’re featured on Superstylin* this week…

Huge thank you to Avelinda Garcia for the write up! Here is a little taste of the article. To read it in its entirety be sure to check out her site.

“Stylist, costume designer, power shopper- Serena Duffin spreads her style in whichever city she lands. Duffin brings her love of vintage to the masses with the e-commerce launch of Modern Gypsy, a site catering “to fashionable women who don’t want to see themselves coming offering one-of-a-kind vintage pieces styled with a fresh, modern twist”. As a fellow vintage enthusiast and fan of Serena’s personal style, Superstylin* asked the modern gypsy a few questions about her latest project.”

Last week I took Palm Springs for a test drive, getting excited for coachella and working on my base tan! Here is some desert inspiration from our shop Modern Gypsy to help you pack for your fun, fashion filled weekend! I love to mix muted desert colors with bright pops of red, orange, pink and electric blue.
