I spent a magical few days last week in my home away from home away from home with my very best friends in San Francisco. I was in town for the 5 year anniversary of Indie Mart, which is thrown every summer by my friend Kelly Malone of Workshop. It was an amazing day at Thee Parkside with yummy foods and groovy tunes that kept our feet moving! We made loads of new friends and had some seriously happy customers. I am looking forward to making the drive up to SF for the next one!

I’m packing up the gypsy wagon…. err hybrid…. and heading to my home away from home, away from home, San Francisco. I’ll be slangin’ vintage at the indie mart with 99 other totally rad venders. I am restocked with fabulous finds from my travels to Texas, Montana and Southern California! I can not wait to see all of your beautiful faces at Thee Parkside next Sunday!

Loads of new merchandise is about to hit the site! Here’s a little sneak-a-peak at what we’ve been up to… We shot at Paramount Ranch’s western town which is near and dear to me. Not only have I shot at the Ranch before, but my Dad and Uncle built many of the buildings on the property when they worked on Dr. Quinn back in the day.

Check it out y’all! We’re featured on Superstylin* this week…

Huge thank you to Avelinda Garcia for the write up! Here is a little taste of the article. To read it in its entirety be sure to check out her site.

“Stylist, costume designer, power shopper- Serena Duffin spreads her style in whichever city she lands. Duffin brings her love of vintage to the masses with the e-commerce launch of Modern Gypsy, a site catering “to fashionable women who don’t want to see themselves coming offering one-of-a-kind vintage pieces styled with a fresh, modern twist”. As a fellow vintage enthusiast and fan of Serena’s personal style, Superstylin* asked the modern gypsy a few questions about her latest project.”

why do we do it?

Posted by serena in About, Articles, Modern Gypsy

We love vintage! Not only does finding a unique vintage piece make our day, our outfit and our budget but it also satisfies our want to be fashionably sustainable and responsible. Not only does buying vintage keep these fabulous finds out of the landfills, but in time, supporting vintage retailers will boost local economies and curb off production of unsustainable products in the US and other countries. So eventually, buying vintage and being green will create a healthier environment for our future! RAD!

Modern Gypsy is a provider of unique fashionable vintage finds. I like to merchandise the site and our photo shoots to what is relevant in fashion at the moment. So everything that you find on our site will be absolute necessities for your closet Right Now!

We are here for You! So, if ever there is a piece that you are just dying to find our team will be on the job! We are great shoppers and even better detectives! Just give us a shout and I’ll see what we can locate just for you.
